Make Getting Dugg Pay Big
There are a whole lot of people looking to make money from the Digg effect. Only thing is, the majority of them are going about it the wrong way.
You see, I’ve had a few front page Digg’s myself, and I’ve learned just what exactly is profitable from a sudden burst of 40-60,000 visitors and then nothing.
Most people just put Adsense code on their pages and hope that a whole lot of Diggers will click on their Adsense and make them a lot of money. Only it doesn’t. The average Digg user is 10x less likely to click an Adsense ad then the average web user. They’re less likely to go actually read your content too. You only end up making about $40, and then disapearing overnight. Even worse, only a tenth of all vistors actually read the damn article. So the best you get is the equivelent of 4,000 decent readers. What to do with 4,000 eyes?
NOT ADSENSE! Target your market. The average Digger is intelligent and into technology and smart solutions. Pick a few really good affiliate programs and you’ll do much better than you would with PPC (Adsense). Even just a simple Amazon link will do at least twice as well as if you had an Adsense link.
But even better than an affiliate link is a product to sell yourself. Getting 4,000 real eyes to your site in one day can do wonders for sales of anything you promote. Why not promote yourself?
With the DemocraKey sales I made over a thousand dollars from a single digg. The possibilities are endless, and a frontpage digg can be worth even more, if you plan things right.
