How to Create an Indiana Jones Style Torch
First of all, this is pretty dangerous, and you don’t want to do it. That being said, it’s also a whole lotta fun, and makes a great joke. Just don’t burn down any houses while you’re at it.
Whenever people are in the woods for extended periods of time they go nuts. I was no exception. Building torches to hike with at night became one of my favorite past times. They’ll scare the crap out of anyone with any ecological respect for the wilderness or anyone who knows anything about how forest fires start.
You’ll need four things to make your torch:
- A stick
- A scrap piece of cotton
- Lamp oil
- A lighter
Wrap the scrap piece of cotton around the stick. The more scrap cotton you have the better. Douse the cotton in lamp oil. Take out your lighter and light the cotton. Boom! Instant Indiana Jones torch. Bet you feel better about all those lonely nights in the woods.
Now that you’ve got your torch, you should learn how to blow fire. Luckily all you need is the following:
- Indiana Style Torch
- Lamp oil
- Brain (well, maybe not)
Put a bit of lamp oil in your mouth. Hold the torch far away from you. Spit the torch fluid fast and hard against the torch like you see people who breathe fire do. Use the brain part and don’t burn the hell out of yourself. Or anyone else… And oh yea, don’t actually do this. Especially not after you’ve been drinking and you want to impress a girl. I warned you.
